Moving my panel to a new device

Post by shawn_75 »

Hi,

I'm migrating from one phone to another. Is there a way to move my panel files to the new phone?

Thank you and I appreciate this useful app.

Hello,
Yes, you can share the panels one by one with the option "Share Panel" on the left menu, then you can send it attached to an email or you can save it on google drive, among other options.
In first case you don't really need to send an email, just saving it as a draft you can access it in the other phone if using the same google account.
In the other device if you open the email attached file then Suppanel should be open and load the panel.

If the panel if saved in google drive then you have to download it first and then with a file manager app you open the file, usually saved in the download folder, but some file manager apps fail to do it correctly, If you have problems, install the app "File Manager Flashlight + Clock" it works correctly for me.

Hope it will help.

When I attempt to open the .supp file by clicking on it, I get "You don't have any apps that can open this type of file. You can search for one in the Play Store." When I select the file and press the 3 dots, I choose "Open With" and I then get the exact same message.

Is the file extension correct?

Of course Suppanel must be previously installed on the second phone.

As I said before some file manager apps do not handle correctly the files of not common extensions, this is not a problem of Suppanel but of the File Manager app, try to install and use the app that I said in my previous post

Yes, the panel file has .supp extension

Same issue with moving panel to other device.
Panel is in download folder with the extension .supp.
Standard version of SUPPANEL is installed and working, but I cannot import the panel.

Hi Wil,

Some file manager apps fail to open the associated app for unusual file types, try installing the app "File Manager Flashlight + Clock" it works correctly for me
